    Why Fhydes is different than other „secure” messaging apps?

    Fhydes is not the only app that offers encrypted communication. We realize that. But it has some advantages that you should
    pay attention to.

    As the only one, it provides not only privacy, but also anonymity. We do not know who actually is the user that activates a particular Fhydes number on their smartphone. We don’t know their name, email address or phone number.

    We encrypt not only the content of messages sent by Fhydes, but also all technical data – no one knows who you are talking to, when, for how long, etc.

    The app is created only thanks to paid subscriptions. We do not have advertisers, outside investors, political players or anyone who would influence our mission and your right to privacy.

    How was Fhydes created and why?

    The Fhydes app was created by secure communication enthusiasts who simply could not find a satisfactory solution on the market.

    That is, implemented independently, with an emphasis on user needs and their right to privacy and full control of the information their share on the web. Successive versions of the closed Fhydes app have been actively used, tested and refined by a group of specialists over the years. From 2023, the app is available to everyone.

    In a world where we are all so dependent on technology, we at Fhydes feel it is our duty to educate users about the safety, privacy and data protection of all of us. Everyone should have the right to full control of the information they share about themselves with online businesses.

    On which devices does Fhydes work?

    The Fhydes app was created for everyday private communication on a smartphone. You will achieve its highest performance and the best level of security when using iPhone SE 2 model or newer with iOS operating system version no older than 12. If you are using a phone with Android operating system, make sure your system is updated.

    If you care a lot about privacy, we recommend using Android phones no older than 2021 models.

    Can I use one Fhydes ID on many devices?

    No. One Fhydes number can only be active on one device. We know that you may be used to the fact that the history of your conversations is visible on different devices. But this is security vulnerability and it’s so critical that we decided to resign from
    this feature.

    You can transfer a paid Fhydes number to another phone, but you must take into account that the history of your contacts and calls will not be transferred (because – for your safety – Fhydes does not store it).

    Is Fhydes compliant to EU GDPR?

    Yes it is. Fhydes is an EU based company and we take privacy very seriously. Remember that the app is designed in such a way that it does not process ANY of the user’s personal data.
